Ideal for belt conveyor systems

High thermal limit powers thanks to housing-included cooling: The MAXXDRIVE® XT industrial gear units have a strongly ribbed housing design with air guide covers and axial fans for optimised heat dissipation. XT means eXtended Thermal capacity. The 2-stage MAXXDRIVE® right-angle gear unit implements low ratios as required for belt conveyor systems.

  • No overheating: With their thermally optimised design, MAXXDRIVE® XT industrial gear units are ideally suitable for highest power ranges.

Cool drive for heavy stones: MAXXDRIVE® XT in ore mining

In the Borov Dol mine in northern Macedonia, the French bulk goods transshipment specialist TECHMI relies on industrial gear units from NORD. Two MAXXDRIVE® XT industrial gear units keep ore mining in motion, even under difficult conditions. Conveyor belts transport up to 1,100 tons of stones and gravel per hour, covering more than six kilometres. They must overcome height differences of more than 300 metres and stand ambient temperatures between -25 and +40 °C.
