Flexibility: The design of our industrial gear units is always according to the operating data and ambient conditions. In combination with motors, frequency inverters, couplings, and brakes, this results in reliable drive systems for your bulk material application.
Robustness: Our industrial gear units are equipped with high-quality, low-friction bearings and an especially torsionally rigid one-piece UNICASE housing.
High performance: MAXXDRIVE® XT in particular is equipped with a heavily ribbed housing and an axial fan. This way, it achieves a very high thermal limit power.
Durability: Large roller bearings and optimised geometries ensure excellent load capacity, long life and high operational reliability.
Maintainability: Optimum sealing concepts against water and dust allow for long deployment times without leakage, and thus reduce maintenance effort.

600 tons of grain per hour from the silo to the ship

Lachenmeier Monsun A/S

The newest grain storage terminal of the Danish company Fredericia Shipping exclusively uses drive components from NORD. In the plant constructed by Lachenmeier Monsun, around 40 geared motors of different designs and sizes drive the conveyor belts and bucket elevators for grain transportation. In the first case, they make the high handling volume of 600 tons of grain per hour possible. Apart from the corrosion-resistant surface treatment for the outdoor gear units, the NORD components also impress with their low energy consumption, as shown in our video.
